Haha I am pretty sure I will look back at the title of this post and be like WHAT? Well they are just two words to capture moments of today.
When Arthur got back from nursery, he was very hangry and basically whinged for a long while until dinner was served. The dude continued to do this funny thing where he would keep refusing food until I convinced him to take the first bite! He also would refuse food from the spoon every now and then but he would then be happy for me to take the food off the spoon and feed him by my fingers. At times, he preferred it when I just left the food on the tray for him to pick up himself! I had to keep changing the method of feeding so he would keep going and finish his meal. Tonight it was very obvious that he enjoyed having the spoon to hold towards the end of the meal. What was special was that he also clearly wanted to scoop food up himself! He tried and tried but mostly ended up using the spoon to flatten the food lol. At one point, he was so determined to eat from the spoon that he would pick up the food with his left hand, attempt to place it onto the spoon which he was holding with his right hand and then feed himself with the spoon! OK fine he did try to put food on the spoon when it was the wrong way up so it did not work but he was trying! I wonder how long these little quirks will go on for.
Then came the farts! After bathtime, while I was putting his nappy on, he did a fart which made us laugh. He did another very quickly after which made us laugh some more. This made him so chuffed that he started grinning and proceeded to try to produce more farts! We could totally tell he was trying to squeeze one out but failed. I don’t think that is something one can produce on demand is it? haha I definitely can’t and it seems like he can’t either. It was endearing to see him try though.
So yea. Spoon and farts. There will be a lot more of those to come.
Another moment: After limiting Arthur’s breakfast for 2 days due to him throwing up on Sunday, we are back to normal breakfast today. He ate quite well and acted like his usual cheeky self with all sorts of facial expression. The highlight for me was how he put his little right foot onto his daddy’s right foot as he sat crossed leg 🙂
